The guides are written and edited by Vincent Lee, our editor. We use AI tools to help research and draft guides; the editor reviews every guide before it is published. Every guide shows the date it was last checked and how.

How we check

Every guide is checked against official sources: China's immigration and foreign affairs authorities, transport operators, venues and the Canton Fair organiser. A guide that has also been checked in person in Guangzhou says who checked it, where and when, and shows dated photos. Read the details in How we check.

Independence and funding

The site is funded by display ads from Google AdSense. We don't sell tours, sourcing, visa services or anything else, and no business pays to be included or reviews a guide before it is published.
