    When is Auto Guangzhou 2026?

The 24th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition (广州国际汽车展览会) runs from November 27 to December 6, 2026, at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Pazhou (中国进出口商品交易会展馆). That is the same venue as the Canton Fair. The organisers announced the dates when the 2025 show closed, and their site, Adsale (a co-organiser) and a trade press report of August 27, 2026 give the same dates.

The official site splits the show into three areas, each with its own schedule:

    AreaDatesWho gets in
Passenger cars (乘用车展区)November 27 to December 6, 2026Media only on November 27; professional visitors only on November 28 and 29; public and professional visitors November 30 to December 6
Commercial vehicles (商用车展区)November 27 to 30, 2026On the media day, pass holders only
Industrial chain and car culture (汽车产业链及汽车文化展区)November 27 to 30, 2026On the media day, pass holders only; professional visitors pre-register

Opening hours on the official schedule are 09:30 to 17:30 for every area and day.

Which halls. The organisers announced on March 13, 2026 that the industrial chain area will fill two halls in Area D (广交会展馆D区). They have not published a 2026 hall list for the passenger-car halls. In 2025 the show used the indoor halls of Areas A and D, the outdoor north and south plazas and the Canton Fair Hall, according to the organisers. Check the official floor plan before you choose a metro exit.

    Which days are public days?

For the passenger-car halls, the official schedule (read October 21, 2026) gives:

    2026 dayEntry
Friday, November 27Media day, media only
Saturday and Sunday, November 28 and 29Professional visitors only
Monday, November 30 to Sunday, December 6Open to the public and professional visitors

So a public ticket covers seven days, including one weekend, December 5 and 6.

The other two areas close on November 30, the first public day. The official schedule says only that on the media day those areas are open to pass holders. It does not say whether a public ticket gets you into them on November 28 to 30. Adsale, a co-organiser, describes the industrial chain area as a trade platform, and the official site asks professional visitors to pre-register. If you are a casual visitor, plan around the passenger-car halls.

Tickets: how to buy and what they cost

Prices for 2026: not published as of October 21, 2026. The official online ticket page had no content yet. Some sites that call themselves official still showed 2025 prices on that date; do not plan around those.

The official site lists three ways for overseas visitors to buy:

    • Trip.com e-ticket. Use the Trip.com link on the official site’s ticket page.
    • WeChat e-ticket. Open the show’s WeChat mini program, which the site calls “Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition”, choose a ticket type, and upload your passport details for real-name authentication. After paying, you scan the QR code at the gate.
    • Ticket at the venue, if you do not use WeChat. Follow the signs or ask staff. Staff link the ticket code to your ID, then help you scan in.

Whichever you choose, bring your passport: the WeChat and venue options both tie the ticket to your ID. If you do not have WeChat Pay set up, read Alipay and WeChat Pay for foreigners before you try to buy.

Professional visitors pre-register through the portal on the official site. For the industrial chain area, the organisers say they review applications in one to three working days and reply by email and text message.

    Getting to Pazhou by metro

The complex is on Metro Line 8, and Pazhou station is also on Line 11. Use Pazhou for Areas B and C and Xingangdong for Areas A and D. The exit-by-exit and airport and railway station routes are in Canton Fair by metro, and they apply to this show too, since it uses the same buildings.

Two points for the auto show:

    • Find your hall first. The industrial chain area is announced for Area D, and the organiser’s Canton Fair transport guide pairs Area D with Xingangdong Exit A. The auto show’s own transport page also sends visitors for Areas A and D to Xingangdong Exit A.
    • For fares, tickets and paying with a foreign card, see Guangzhou metro with foreign cards.

For taxis, show the driver 广交会展馆 or use the Show your driver card.

    Where to stay

The auto show uses the same neighbourhood as the Canton Fair, so the same logic applies: rooms next to the complex cost the most, and hotels further along Line 8 are cheaper. The Canton Fair hotels guide compares areas by metro line and covers shuttles and police registration.

The price surge that travellers describe for the Canton Fair is tied to its fair weeks. We have no data on how far hotel prices rise for the auto show, so check your own dates.

    What to expect

    • Crowds. The organisers counted 855,000 visits over the ten days of the 2025 show. They publish no figures by day.
    • Walking. The site is very large. See Canton Fair for first-timers for what to carry and how far travellers report walking.
    • Phone. Your phone will carry your ticket and map. Set up data first; see China eSIM.

    After the show

Canton Tower and Zhujiang New Town are on Metro Line 3. From Pazhou, take Line 8 to Kecun and change to Line 3. The Canton Tower guide has opening hours and metro details. The halls close at 17:30; the last-train time for each line is in the metro app.

    When will this guide update?

We will add the 2026 ticket prices and the passenger-car hall list once the organisers publish them, and the year in the title changes every year. The slug stays the same.

Traps and how to avoid them

    • Going before November 30 with a public ticket

The official schedule keeps the passenger-car halls for media on November 27 and for professional visitors on November 28 and 29. Public entry starts on November 30.

    • Trusting a look-alike site

Some sites that call themselves official still showed 2025 days and prices on October 21. The organisers' site is autoguangzhou.com.cn.

    • Buying from a reseller

Use the channels the official site lists: the show's WeChat mini program, its Trip.com link, or the ticket desk at the venue. Check the year on whatever you buy.

    • Expecting the trade areas all ten days

The commercial vehicle area and the industrial chain and car culture area run only November 27 to 30.
